DMS install
So had DMS suspension install this week, still settling at the moment -
original heights (5K km on car, 2.8 dsl 2016 mdl)
Front - 750 Rear - 765 ish.
after install -
Front - 780 rear - 830
What is interesting is front droop is 110 mm and only 55 in the rear. Does the rear sound short?

Iron man 2" foam cells gxl v6 fitted yesterday
Front 830. Toyo65b
Rear 845 toyo56b
Normal springs... Not constant load springs
I really like how it looks but is the front too high for cv angles?
Going fishing on the coast on the weekend so see if the front settles or lowers.
Also has superior engineering sway bar relocator on front

830 is way too high without a diff drop. Probably too high with one. Aim for around 800. Are you getting a bar or winch and bar? Perhaps this was allowed for. You need to go back or fit the extra accessories. My 150 build - http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27423-A-Random-approach-to-a-Bluestorm-150-GXL-D4D-automatic

I just measured droop it's 855 what is going on???
It is the performance springs not constant load
Don't want to kill a cv down the beach this weekend

I would avoid driving your Prado at high speed, with only 25mm of droop and that high front ride height it will lift a wheel on a cambered high speed bend. I have driven Prados with low droop at high speed, and it can get dangerous.
Can you specify your strut and shock closed and open lengths, and specify the free height and spring rate of the coils you are running.
These numbers will help clarify why you have so little droop. I'm guessing you have short open length struts with coils that are too tall.
Such low droop figures have been seen before, it's not unusual, but it is of course a big problem, and you struts/coils are almost certainly mismatched.

A new prado is front 760 rear 790
So 70mm lift
Thanks for your reply buddy I'm a little worried now and or confused about the droop
The front seems to be a very stiff ride but it is the toyo65b
Witch is the performance spring not the constant load springs
Front strut is 24750fe 552mm-425mm part number off struts
Spring is toyo65b 370mm part number off box
It was sold as a kit matching kit I dunno I'm confused I have
265 70 17 I measured from bottom of rim to gaurd
Struts and sprngs appear to be assembled correctly doesn't look like there is a spacer
It has superior engineering sway bar relocators does this matter
I'm just hoping it will drop to 810
If it drops or settles 20mm I get 20mm more droop right?
So Eg 810 to 855
Witch would be 45mm of droop still not much.... And that's only if it drops settles by itself...
60mm is the recommended minimum
Any suggestions on how to fix would be appreciated or is it ok to leave it as is
I'm going to lay across bonnet and pretend I'm a bull bar while wifey drives around in it today should be less stress on cv'sLast edited by burntoast; 30-06-2016, 06:58 AM.

The front is too stiff for your loads. It won't settle 20mm.
From memory stick height at the front with 17" wheels is 750mm so you have 80mm of lift. Too much. A 1" diff drop might be ok but you have virtually no droop. That is bad. As Mark aphasia said it will handle poorly and dangerously. If you aren't adding weight up front like bat, winch and battery get softer springs. My 150 build - http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread.php?27423-A-Random-approach-to-a-Bluestorm-150-GXL-D4D-automatic

I have the softest springs that iron man do for this model and the struts are correct so a little baffled as to why it's so high at the moment and very little droopLast edited by burntoast; 30-06-2016, 09:24 AM.
