  • The New King Springs for KDSS

Hi Guys, wondering if anyone has also had the King Springs fitted for a 2" lift with the KDSS ?I have them fitted with Bilstein shocks
    Front - KTFR 121
    Rear - KTRR 102
The R/H front spring is a few mm longer than the L/H about 12mm I think, to compensate for the KDSS lean. only problem is after a few good 4x4 tracks it now has a 20mm lean to the R/H front. I called up the shop to let them know and tell them I wanted to bring it back inj to have the front R/H spring set adjustment raised 1 slot ( the reason I got the bilsteins) and was told by them that " its impossible to have that much and that the car must be on uneven ground ", as you could imagine I was not happy with that response, in fact it made me pretty Pissed off to be treated like an idiot hwen I had clearly done more research on the subject than them. Any way I called King Spring and was informed that they have never heard of a lean of that much with these new springs as they are designed for the KDSS models.

So was wondering if anyone else has had this issue with the new King Springs?

    cheers , Matt

I recently also had to go back to Kings Springs twice, and it was obvious that the chap wasn't listening to what I was saying. I kept telling him that their HD springs gave no lift on my truck, and he would just reply that it must have - we went into a conversation loop: didn't lift, must have, didn't lift, must have... until I gave up and told him to just use the next clip level on the strut.

Yeah for me it was the shop in Perth that fitted the lift that wouldn't listen nor did they care about fixing the problem. So I wont be going back there to get the strut adjusted.

Matt, email Kings direct on this one mate. I certainly haven't come across this one as yet & have used quite a few sets of these fronts with good results.
They are a pretty helpful bunch of guys up there.

Can always adjust it yourself. No real special equipment needed. A good trolley jack is good though and some instructions http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...ade-for-Grande
