Standard springs with steel bar

G'day neighbour! What other plans do you have? If you are fitting a winch and/or dual batteries definitely you need new springs. Ideally you should fit new springs with the bar but as a bar will only add 50kg or so you could get away with it but not forever. If you want to keep standard height a few suppliers can do heavier duty springs and standard height.
Have a look in the 150 suspension thread about suppliers and ride heights. Don't forget to go to the introductions thread and tell us about your Prado and plans.

Kings and most other brands have a heavier rate STD height spring for what you need.
You could probably leave the stock ones initially, but the front will creep down over time with the additional weight.
I left my stock ones initially with my Ironman steel bar, didn't really pay attention for a while, then walked out the front one day about 6 months later & went oh!
