Cal offroad 3" kit measurements

Just wondering if anyone who has the Cal Offroad 3" kit installed in their 150 GXL can provide some front and rear height measurements (preferably from bottom of rim to guard with 17's)? I am going to change my suspension setup again but running out of room to the garage roof (already investigation options for a new door) :-(

Highly recommend the Cal 2-3" kit after going through a few others in my time.

870mm rear, 830mm front on mine. I do have 20mm spacers on rear though to help it stay level when she's loaded up. Probably need to get some HD air bag sleeves now.

Does anyone know what the Bilsteins produced for CalOffroad offer other than custom valving over the std BE5-A712/BE5-A713 models for a 2inch? Not sure whether to spend the extra on CalOffroad Bilsteins.

Cheers Matt, I've sent a few emails off to Cal so will see how things pan out. Just out of curiosity do you have your droop measurements as well?

Libba, main advantages are extra length and travel, the standard bilstein parts are nutoriously short but probably sufficient for a lift under 2".

Cal revalve the Bilstein 5100's & then use the fronts on the Prado's & Kun26R. They set the valving somewher in between the 2 vehicles so they will work ok in both.

You still highly recommend it, even though you had to fit a bunch of extra gear (panhard, etc.)?

Hi Libba, I think they are a touch longer than the standard 713 up front, I cannot remember exactly, but I think my droop is about 800mm. Plus they can be silver so look sexier as well??
He also uses the rears from an 80 series, but valve them to suit the lesser weight of the Prado.
I have the 2" kit and am happy with it. My mate has the OME kit, both he and I prefer my ride, firmer up front, softer in the rear, it's more comfy, appears to drive better, feels more balanced, and drives around roundabouts better

Decided to go with CalOffroad custom Bilsteins. As you mentioned Jkspinner his are definitely manufactured in Germany and aren't based on on 5100. Can't wait to get them installed.

The CalOffroad silver fronts are not 5100s. The CalOffroad Silver fronts have been developed with the Toyota TRD and Bilstein engineers in Germany and have been built specifically for the Australian model and Australian conditions.
they feature
fully rebuildable
height adjustable coils seat positions
correct down travel length for required height( many yellow struts are just re grooved but only have 0-2" down travel )
The travel length can be adjusted if customer has special requirements.
one of the largest ring eyes available in lower bush
smoothest TRD valving

He wouldn't revalve them down for the lesser weight of the Prado.
The 80 Series Bilsteins are already substantially softer in their valving to the Prado ones.

He does use the German made units. Just Hilux ones that are 20mm longer in open length & 7mm longer in closed length.

The Crimped over end ones out of the U.S are not revalveable.
