Have to agree with ####. Dobinson is good gear Just choose the right coil for the job.Originally posted by Anth120playdo View PostAbsolutely, & longer.
2 year warranty. When they have lasted that long, generally they are not going to fail. Just normal wear.

Good on you, when 2 suspension specialists agree on something, that should mean something to the readers.
Some new gear from Monroe, have you used it?

IMO Monroe is one of the best, & lets face it the Arb gear still works well after years, so ths will be just as good or better as it doesn't need to be made to a budget. (for those who don't know, MONROE/TENNECO manufactures for ome/Arb)
Will b good to see how these peform too

Mine have been in for 39,000klm and no issues so far, very happy with the ride quality, hasn't sagged and no leaks. They went in about 18 months ago.Originally posted by Nik83 View PostWould you guys have faith the dobinsons shocks will hold up fine for at least a year?

Yes 352 will be nice.Originally posted by Wil View PostSo for a diesel 150 with a bar and winch, but lightly loaded in the back, dobinson spring front would be C59-352 rear would be C59-325? What would be the complementry monroe shocks?
325 are only if you want comfort & 50mm with no load at all. It goes down easy as you load it.
Feel free to give me a call & discuss the coil options, before its too late.
Cheers,
####.

I checked with Monroe - they do make the shocks here but they don't list a front strut for the 150 series. They said:Originally posted by Anth120playdo View PostDobinsons MONROE $1150.00 - all made in oz!
What would the front struts be with this option?Unfortunately at this stage for the 150 series we don't have a front listed as it is still under development. All we list is 16-0790 for the rear.
Both of these parts are getting manufactured in Australia.

They really need to start supplying the front struts assembled with new strut tops, it would make it way easier for the DIY guy as fitting the assembled strut assembly isn't that hard in the front. I destroyed a pair of really heavy duty spring compressors the first time I put springs in. And could have potentially died!Originally posted by Nik83 View PostJust bought the dobinsons.
352/327 springs + shocks. Will install rears myself and will contemplate the fronts over the next few days.

Some companies do supply fully assembled front struts, Tough Dog I think is one, others may well supply that way as well.

Zordo & Dobinson Sydney will both supply them assembled for $100-$120 extra. I'm sure other places would if you were happy to pay them.Originally posted by ttmx83 View PostThey really need to start supplying the front struts assembled with new strut tops, it would make it way easier for the DIY guy as fitting the assembled strut assembly isn't that hard in the front.
That doesn't sound good... what type of spring compressor was it? I've been told that if you want to wind up the Dobinson MRR shocks on the front that you are best to compress the spring a bit first to make it easier (ie jack up chassis, remove wheel, compress spring a bit then adjust the spring length) because the springs are so strong.Originally posted by ttmx83 View PostI destroyed a pair of really heavy duty spring compressors the first time I put springs in.
