  • TJM XGS Series 4000

Just wanting some help as I'm about to do a lift and am thinking of going TJM XGS 4000 as they have the kits on sale until Xmas. I am looking at:
TJM Series 4000 Shock Absorbers Std
    TJM Coils 45mm front -50kg and rear - 150kg
I already have airbag man airbags (mainly tow a 2100 kg boat).
I need to know is this the same as XGS gold or am I looking at completely different spec shocks? Also price I feel is good at $1079 but would anyone be able to tell me it's good quality.

    Thanks

Am interested in similar, visited TJM today. The XGS 4000 has a larger bore 40mm vs 36mm of the Gold.

Need to look at spring ratings and air bags for heavier loads

The XGS4000 are a completely different damper to the golds. Larger bore, different internal components and a different tune. They are much more supportive than the golds. I run the stiffest springs up front with bar, winch, third battery, underbody guards, side steps and scrub bars. Rear I run the lighter spring with airbags and the Prado has drawers in it. This set up also works when we go away and are loaded with a 2.5t trailer.

I maybe biased as I had a lot to do with developing these shocks, but I have never had a shock in the front of a vehicle as good as the 4000's. I hammered them up at the cape last year and they were excellent, predictable without bump through.
