    Hey,

    It's unlikely, but just check you haven't put the relocation plates on back the front. The swaybar should move forward and down.

    Can you take a photo so we can see what's fouling where?

        OK Some pics to prove I am not going crazy :-) Pics are of swaybar all connected up with plates that relocate it down and to front.

        You can see from pics two problems:

        1 - The swaybar ends are touching the bottom of the coils/shocks :-)
        2 - I cant reinstall the passenger sige brace that connects the two front chassis cross members. Drivers side ok...

        When am I going to get a break with this damn car :-)

          Just thought of something...... I could move the shocks in a bit away from the swaybar ends by adjusting the cam bolts on the lower control arms - right?

            Hey zero,

            Bugga, that doesn't look good!

            It seems like the relocation blocks (the FOX ones I'm guessing which have reservoir mounts on them) don't go forward enough, but even if they did, it looks like you'll still hit that front brace (those braces aren't on the 120's).

            I haven't put relocation blocks on a 150 before (just my 120), so I'm sorry I can't be more helpful from here, but hopefully somebody with a 150 has encountered these problems and will chime in!

            ...another thought is that the FOX relocation blocks have prolly been designed around the FJ Cruiser front end, which is NOT exactly the same as a 120 or 150.

            It might be worth trying a different set of relocation blocks if you can get your mits on them easily?

            Can you measure what the outer coil diameter is on the strut?

            Hope you can get it sorted soon!

              Hey,

              I don't think you'll get enough adjustment.

              One other thing to check is the lower mounting bolt. Depending on how well the strut locates in the bottom mount, there might be spacers, so check if the spacers are uneven in size, you may be able to push the strut back by swapping spacers in/out, back/front etc.

              The width of the coilover stems sometimes tends to be smaller than the typical bush thickness on a non-adjustable strut.

                Hey zero,

                Ok, I think I know what the problem is, loads of FJ guys experiencing the same problem with 2.5" coilovers;

                FOX;

                http://www.fjcforums.com/forums/off-...coilovers.html

                Sway-a-way;

                http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forum...questions.html

                Walker Evans;

                http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forum...-5-fronts.html

                After reading the Walker Evans thread and looking at your photos on post #3, it seems you may have a coil seat that is not thick enough.

                Post #10 in the Walker Evans thread shows you the solution! Note also how the seat reduces in thickness, so it will not rub on the swaybar.

                Hopefully you can get thicker seats and perhaps different relocation blocks, and everything will sort itself out.

                  Hey again,

                  One other point to note from the FJ threads is that some guys did actually end up bending their swaybars even with the correct relocation blocks.

                  Regarding that front brace on the 150, is it possible to space the brace down?

                    Hey Mark - Many thanks for your post's Mate - Much Appreciated Really...

                    Think I am just going to go for bending the ends of the swybar - just need to find someone wih a big press who can do it.

                    Then i'll also remove the spacers as well.

                      the King Shocks kit was a straight bolt in deal
                      as they are made for the Prado
                      the only issue was the bracket for the canister had to be modified if you have the ARB front bar & recovery points

                      your springs a set way down compared to mine
                      the top of the spring is all the way up and the lower seat is shaped up to clear the swaybar

                      what was the spring rate ? 600lb or 650? or 700?

                        Spring Rate is 600... I was keen on KNIGS but they didnt have rear shocks to suit 3" lift

                        No Major Biggy at this point - Just inconveniance trying to find someone around my way (Point Cook, Vic) who can/will bend the swaybar ends for me on x-mas Eve :-)

                            All Done - and heading off to wheel alignment..... SO happy with ride, Super Duper Plush yet still Firm - AMAZING!!!! Plush I have the Low and High Speed Adjusters all round so tweaking a breeze...

                            Bent SwayBar ends out by 20mm each side - (10 to 15 would have been more than enough) Also not that I dont need to use the spacers now either so a win IMO as one less piece to the puzzle to worry about :-)

                              Hey,

                              Some good news for you finally, glad to hear you've got it all sorted!

                              Just watch out with those rear shocks, that closed length of 413mm means you won't even touch the bumpstops, and you could easily bump out your expensive new shocks! Unlikely you'll do it in the city, but better for your peace of mind that you lower that bumpstop down!
