VXL Prado ( south africa spec, Kakadu elsewhere) suspension upgrade clarification

Hi guys,

Sorry if this has been repeated before, but need some advice.

I have a prado 150 with the adjustable suspension and airbag rear setup. It seems my shocks are blown, I have managed to get hold of some TJM XGS 4000. Problem is i cant find a replacement bag setup for the rear and the local tjm dealer only offers a coil solution


My question is can I just change the rear shocks whilst leaving the stock airbags? Will there be any issues running this setup? Or do i just unplug the old shock, tie the sensor somewhere safe and put the new ones in. My options are limited here in Kenya and all shops just want me to convert to a coil setup.

Yes you can change the rear shocks while maintaining the factory airbags.
