Another few FOX shocks off to Desert speed labs for yet another re-valving and overhaul.... Yep some are brand new, and need to be re-valved straight up as too soft from factory.

We run 8 x KING shocks on the trophy truck. The Raptor is a loaner tow tug and as thus came with FOX from factory that were inadequately valved for purpose. 15 mins on the test track saw them fade into oblivion and took an hour for them to cool enough to return to normal. With re- valving and oil weight changes it survives about 35 mins now. The Can Am needs to stay with FOX due to the class it races in, Manufacturers spec items blah blah.. The Tacoma we just got as a 2nd tow tug and pre-runner will have King fitted. Currently has Icon and its pretty sad. Racing is quite political and you're forced to stay with some stuff. Its only around $150 - $200 to strip & rebuild and valve a standard type FOX shock/strut with Desert speed labs.

We have the same concerns with a few of the off the shelf Fox 2.0's. They just aren't heavy enough in the Valving for our needs with us always loading up vehicles for travelling/touring/towing etc.
When customers come in talking about wanting Fox & ask me "what is the benefit of the Fox over this or that" ?
My standard answer is...... Well the Fox costs about $1000.00 more, but at least you can then tell your mates you've got Fox in it :-P
That's the only benefit of a Fox over other decent gear out there... The bragging rights :-(
