King's progressive springs

Is this the normal appearance of progressive springs? The top coils are all in contact with each other whilst the car is on the ground.

I was hoping for a softer ride, but they really don't seem any better than the regular King's springs.

Yes, the T in the part number signifies progressive tapered spring. Essentially, the softer spring rate section gets compressed and isn't doing much for your case.

Yeah I had read that that might be the case before I bought them, but I didn't really think there would be such a little difference in the ride quality (and perhaps even slightly worse than before).

The car definitely leans a bit more initially when turning e.g. when changing lanes, and it's lost that 'lively' handling feeling compared with the previous KTFR 101 HD King's springs I had on the car.

I'll hopefully get a chance to try them off road this weekend - if they're no better than the regular HD King's over the corrugations, I might swap the old ones back on.
