Re: What suspension and lift to go for on the 150???

That is a good price for the OME, is it better hard to tell without running two cars back to back, what u have got with the OME is a lot of guys on this forum running the OME with no issues!! positive!!! and the after sales service of buying equipment from a company that has dealers all over oz if their were to be an issue and has tested/ matched the equipment to the vehicle. My past experience is that you have a 50000 dollar vehicle if u scimp now it will cost u later.

Re: What suspension and lift to go for on the 150???

When lifted suspension is fitted, should longer travel shocks and struts be used? If they do I gather the springs should be longer as well.

I am starting to find out that the above is maybe why there is a difference in lift kit prices.

In the Trekmaster kit the shocks, struts and springs and the same length as the standard Prado ones. But Ironman claim their shocks and struts are longer than standard to allow for the lift and keep wheel travel. I haven't yet asked about the OME kits.

      Anyone know?

      Thanks
      Ron

Cheers mate. Could you let us know how they are, ie. How much lift actually achieved and ride quality.

            Louie

            Done and dusted (last Friday)

            70Ml at front
            50 Mls at rear

BUT looks a lot higher (although the tape can't lie)

As mentioned I added PolyAir bags as well.....they are currentlyy sitting at 6PSI but go to 30......I don't think they will make any difference, just make it more even when the load goes on.

Must say it looks bloody impressive.....will tell you how it works after I head to Coffs harbour for the Easter break.

Have a look at this which contains different suspension specs for the 120 from the 3rd party brands. Although they are for the 120, the 150 components would be similar.

Those figures are really good. Be interested to see what the figures are after they settle.

The Bilstein struts have three positions to mount the lower spring seat. The seat is held in place as it butts up against the cir-clip. Each off the seat positions will give you a different ride height with approximately 5mm difference between each one. Center being neutral, top being +5mm and bottom being -5mm.
