  • Wallowing gone - SX 3door has new suspension.

I bit the bullet and had Bilstein shocks and King springs installed. I went with the standard height springs, and got a 30mm lift at the front and 40mm in the rear (ARB Sahara bar on the front). The standard height springs were designed for the 5 door, as the 3 door is 300kg lighter that is why you get the lift.
Steering feels a lot more precise, no more wallowing and rock and rolling around corners.

Will need to get it off road to see how it handles on the dirt, but I am impressed with the improvement on the black top.

Fulcrum at Capalaba did the work and did a fantastic job

Looks great - my only concern would be stiffening up with 5 door springs, I'm still not convinced by salesman that there are dedicated 3 door springs on the market, I'd also like to go a bit higher (not stiffer), I can cope with the "wallowing" on the road, am more interested in suspension travel off-road.

Anybody know if there are dedicated 3 door springs available?

Thanks heaps - they seem to be the only ones to do a dedicated SWB kit.

            Just ordered mine.

            Cheers mate.

Jase150, have you had your Ironman suspension fitted yet? If so, how is it performing?

Mate,I reckon that this issue is one of the worst features of the shortie and it's great to know there is a solution thanks Foxy
