After long deliberation and research, I have just fitted five Cooper LTZ 285 60 R18's to our Prado.
With at least 2 months before the new Mickey Thompson Baja STZ 265 60 R18 are in the country, I coouldnt wait any longer.
The car now looks like a 4wd rather than an urban shopping trolley.
Steering is now direct and has lost the Dunlop wander's.
No increase in road noise.
The spare wheel cover has been packed away along with the backing plastic and a nude wheel and tyre now hang on the back door. I had to make a 6mm spacer out of high density plastic and stick anti rub felt onto four points in the tyre well.
There are no issues with clearance in the guards or with rubbing at full lock.
I will put some pictures up soon and report on the change in ground speed to speedo reading.
