The title pretty much says it all. I'm going to get some mags in Febuary when my bonus comes through. What size rims would you get and why and where from? Keeping in mind they are for a 150 series and I'd prefer BFG mud terrains to fit and be within Queensland law.

First thing is to find out what sizes are available in the muddies. I suspect that they will only be available is 70 profile but you need to confirm that. Then use something like this
http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp
And put factory standard size on the left (265 65 17 or whatever) and then put in available sizes on the right until you get a tyre within Qld Transport regs, that is up to +15 and down to -25. I am guessing that the only size you will find will be 245 70 17. In a mud tyre the loss of a nominal 20mm of width is nothing. Again guessing that the smallest rim that will fit the front of a 150 is 17".
As for diameter and offset you need to then make sure that the wheel fits on the hubs without fouling any suspension or body component and does not reduce track or increase track more than 25mm and finally keeps the rubber within the guards.

Speedy wheels do a few that fit the factory 150 GXL - I got Flame 17" x 8" wheels. At the time they did 3 different wheels for the 150 GXL, all in the low to mid $200 range.
In QLD you are very limited in sizing for tyres so you might as well just stick with a 17" wheel and 265/65R17 tyres to keep the boys in blue and insurance companies off your back.
Oh yeah, the factory GXL rims are worth $250-400 and the GrandTrek's (new condition) around $80 on eBay so you should be able to do a swap over and come out ahead if you stick with the Dunlops or upgrade the wheels and tyres for $100-200 per corner.
