But Louis, I am sure the D697 are available in 265/70/17 size....or do you mean that there just isn't any stock of that size at the moment? I was given a quote for 265/70/17 D697 AT... but anyway, I have decided to go with the 275/65/17.. if there are any in stock.

There should be heaps in stock of 275/65. Jaxx, bob Jane, bridgestone and 3 other independant dealers said can't get 265/70. This is consistent with the bridgestone website.
FYI - the best price I got on D697 275/65 was $320.
