Hi Guys,

Anyone tried these on their Kakadu? Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor 265/60R18. If so, can you provide feedback etc.

THYSWUP had these in 17" on his Prado at the GTG this year. After talking to him and seeing the damage they sustained in just a week of off roading it convinced me to never own a set. He might be able to shed more light on the issues.

I have these in 17" on my 120. Very happy overall. Good wear rate/grip. Quiet. They dont bag out well in the sand and I think we had them down to about 12psi to get through some dunes a while ago which was a worry.

I like a tyre with a square edge so for me they are good. No issues with chopping out however our surfaces down here dont tend to be overly harsh so may depend upon where you are going to use/abuse them.

Hi guy's, the VX and the Kakadu have 18" rims and a H load rating. Has anyone had the silent armour on the 18" rim's?

Can't help you with that size but we run them in the 17" on Hilux and Prados

High amount of off road and unformed tracks including sleepers and dog spikes - exceptional first non Muddy that i have been able to run and not run out of spare tires and very good hwy touring tyre.

If you don't want a Muddy this and a Cooper STMaxx are top of the list - SA better on wet hwy and less noise STMaxx better offf roader

My dad loves silent armour, he has had them on 4 week trips, canning stock route, gun barrel hwy etc and he was the only one not to sustain punctures. I however found they are less than the minimum load rating required for the 18" rims. My dad has 17" rims.

I've got them on the GX. They are slightly louder than the Grandtreks, but they are nice and grippy in the wet. I'm yet to try them off road or in the sand, but will be doing so in the next 2 months. Ill report back what I find.
