  • Non genuine 150 wheels

In the unsuccessful quest to find suitable wheels for the 150 (as some scumbag stole mine) I have come across this supplier of a non genuine alloy with all the same looks and specs as the original.

I haven't got a price yet as they don't deal direct to public

Try this place as they bring them in by the pallet load and cheap including the genuine style wheel nuts and caps.

I got my mechanic to contact BSA wheels and was quoted $250 for the Prado replica wheel. That's a hell of lot better than the $1,235 for the Toyota original also a great option for those that want interchangeable wheels for the camper trailer.

I think he meant didn't your insurance cover the theft of the wheels.

Do you know what the load rating is for the replica wheels?

They only stole the spare but at that cost I thought I might be able to get a set of steel and or black rims and also upgrade to muddies. But alas nothing else fits the Prado so back to standard and it was a relief to find these for $250.

I didn't ask what the rating was but asked if it was rated to the Prado. And he said yes.

I rang them today as I am after a set for my Hilux. Thet are load rated at 865kgs, come from china from 2 different suppliers one being BSA wheels and the other he didn't say!! They come with wheel nuts and caps and can be sent anywhere.
You can't beat the genuine ones though (they probably make them also!!) So come on lads surely one of you have a set you can sell me???????

Why do you need someone to sell you a set, why not just get the BSA wheels?

865kg is too low. The Prado's max rear axle load is 1800kg. The tyres are rated to 1120kg. The rims needs to be pretty close to that figure for a safety margin.

Yep but the gumtree ad said they were willing to package up and post.

I'd be wary about sending money based on a Gumtree ad. Unless they are a retailer and can accept a credit card, there is no buyer protection.
