275/70r17 fit great

Well for those interested and like me are looking for as much info as possible. I went a set of
BFG 275/70r17 fitted on dynamic steel 17x8 with 10 mm offset.( standard height 150 GX)
Slight mud flap rubb at 90% turning circle but that's it.calliper clearance is a few mm at best but it all fits and I'm happy az.

I've only recently bought a second hand GX and want to put some BFG's on it. Only have standard 17x6.5" rims and can hopefully get something as wide as 275 on them, time will tell. Any info on that subject would be appreciated!

Yeah ill post a few picks when I'm near my computer. Standard GX rims suck at 6.5 inches. I had a thing in my head to go as big as I could with no lift. 275/70r17 look great on the black 17x8 . Would have liked alloys but watching the pennies. 10 mm offset is spot on. Right at the edge of the guards so still legal.
Happy all round at the moment.

Thanks for the info. The 6.5" rims do suck and can't justify to the other half the need for a new set of rims as well as tyres. Especially seeing as how I've only had the car 2 and a half weeks. Will have to make do (for now) with whatever I can fit on them.

I'm thinking of going the 17*8 +10.. Had any fitment/alignment/balance problems with them? I know some people had problems with them.

Balance yes. Bit of a wobble. I'm going to take them in to my local and get them checked.

Yeah I think people had problems as they weren't seating properly on the hub. Hmm

Looks good. Any side pics showing the position of the tyre relative to the guard?

This shows a bit of rubbing at its worst. Im thinking of pulling off the mud guard and hitting it with the heat gun to bend it back a bit. either way its not too bad.

Wish my GX looked this good! Ended up going with BFG 245/70R17 on the stock rims. For now. The other half didn't like the idea of spending the extra money on the steel rims. It will definitely happen next time round though!

Good job mate! Hope you don't have any extra problems down the line to do with rubbing etc!
