  • 285/70R17 Summit Mud Hogs

    hay all just thorught id show ya how my new tyres look! New steelz csa 17x8 with 0 offset and 285/70/17 summit mud hogs. car has 2" lift also with no rubbing as yet tho havent takin it off road yet. but did remove front mud flaps cus they rubbed, like they did any thing anyway Click image for larger version

      $80 a rim $230 a tyre and $214 to fit up ! Went well this weekend at wedge! Tyres just touched the arches once on a hard drop

        Very Nice Bushy
        I have a shorty with a 2" lift.
        Hopely I have my new rims in december(dick cepek torque 7x8.5 ET06)
        I was think to buy 265/70/17 but now I see your pictures mmh maybe I go for 285/70/17.
        Do you think they will fit with the dick cepek rims?
        In europe its not possible to buy 275/70/17 in mud tyre (only on road tyre)

          Looks great mate, you've got to be happy with both the price and the look. I didn't think you could get way with 0 offset and 285's but guess so.

              yeah not sure if legal cus ive widend the wheel base but handles nicer on and off road, lot less body roll

              geert - um not sure wat ET06 is but i do have a bit of clearance between the UCA so a wider rims should b ok

                That looks great! The tyre size looks just right for the car. The front tyres didn't touch the bullbar on full compression?

                    Hi Bushy. Do the mud hogs make any more noise on the road? And have you noticed a difference in fuel economy? Did you get a spare and does it fit on the rear door?

                      Na I fixed the bullbar dont normaly sit like that Joshy

                      Brad - Yeah got a spare thats all good a bit heavyer tho! Yeah like all muddies that got a noise but not major and nothin different to fuel! But it drives nicer when changin gears cus it has that bit more weight to the tyres I think

                        How did u get away with 0 offset, I got a 10mm offset so I could clear the UCA as mine rubbed with 0 offset? How much of a gap do u have?

                          So are your rims -10mm offset or +10mm offset? -10mm would push it further away from the UCA. I like your rig too!
