I have the old pattern Wrangler MT/R with white lettering and it doesn't scuff to reveal the white material underneath. Not really good advertising for the manufacturer though with the above issue.

No it certainly isn't a good look amts. The lugs on the outside of my ATZ's are also badly chipped so whilst I still have plenty of tread on my tyres, they look very second hand. I only wish I had access to a Mickey T rep that actually had some clout who could do something for me, as opposed to the general tyre dealers who just put it down to incorrect pressures which I know in my case is not the reason. For any potential buyer who is in a conundrum on which tyre to invest in, one look at a tyre with "cosmetic blemishes" is going to turn them off said product for sure...

I was thinking coopers until I read this thread.
Checked a couple of other forums and found similar stories.
          thanks for the info.
BFG's look to be on the list now.

The white layer is starting to show through, I think it might only be a superficial problem but it does look a little average. Looks like the outer layer of rubber is wearing through a little.

I thought it might be related to incorrect tyre pressures but I am normal very careful and adjust pressures and speed to suit conditions.

            • General 4WD track driving 20-25psi
            • General road driving 38-40psi

Beach and off road driving speed is limited to 60km/h or less. Do these figures sound about right or am I doing it wrong?

I have Cooper ST, not Maxx.. Won't be buying these again as I'm going STT's.

funny as MLC, I won't tell her you said that though. Luckily for me she is actually a very good driver, and only drives her little car.
