Dick Cepek 265/70/17 does anyone else run these tyres?

Hi i have just fitted a set of dick Cepek fun country 265/70/17.
I've only had them on a couple of days. So far I think they are a good Tyre . Haven't been off road yet. Road noise is a little bit more than the standard Dunlop but not excessive or irritating. Does anyone else run dick Cepek and what do you think of them, how do they wear ect.

Just wondering, how much did you pay for them and does the tyre fit under the spare tyre cover?

I paid $360 per Tyre fitted . I only got 4 as that is all Bob Jane in bundaberg had in Stock. Will be getting the spare soon. I will see if the wheel Cover fits but not worried because i planned on taking it off anyway. I think it looks better without it.

I don't run them myself but, I am pretty sure Dick Cepek was bought by Mickey Thompson and are now made by them. So they should be a great tyre. One of the top tyres run in North America

$350 per tyre. They do not fit under the spare wheel carrier. They also just touch the rear door. I used 5mm washers between the bracket and the rim to space the tyre out a little. Could probably get away with 3mm. I am not sure if the tyre cover would fit if you added something like a Kaymar spacer.

Have clocked up 6500 k's in the last 4 weeks - tyres performed well although have a bit of scrubbing on front wheel arch. Will checkout the Kaymar spacer.

Cheers Mattfunk 120, sounds like its a go then, i just have to figure out what to do about the spare wheel cover. I had a good soft cover on my 90 but it didn't have a reversing camera.

Depends on what year you have, if your Prado is late 2006 or newer the 70 series tyres will make the speedo read accurately as they read fast from the factory. Earlier models the speedo will read slow by around 4-5% as they were spot on from new.

Edit: just realized this is in the 150 section so they should correct your speedo.

I do like the look of these tyres and there on my short list, the only thing that is holding me back is noise, I don't want anything noisier than my BFG at.. Have you driven in the wet yet ?.

I have the fun country at's and they are a bit more aggressive than the BFG's but I don't think they are that noisy . Yeah you can hear them but with the radio on it's not noticeable. Mine are only a couple of months old though . ( a little industrial deafness helps too)
