On a 2014 GXL standard 17" rim, what is the maximum tyre width, height you can get on the rim? Im about to get a 2" lift and the Grandtreks look tiny. I dont want to get offset rims etc just max on the current ones.

265/70/17 is as big as you can go without having other issues.

            Cheers Andrew

Sorry, I should of put a link in the first place. Second link is the PDF that opens if you click the Size and Availability tab above tyre picture on the first link.

Thanks for the links 57one. Looks like they won't be doing a 265/60/R18 again (my current size in D697s) and the 265/65/R18 is the closest. I had this size in BFGs on the Kakadu when I bought it but we had them swapped out for the Bridgestones due to Victorian rules at the time deeming them as oversized. Can anyone confirm if that has definitely changed now with the revised rules? I'm assuming the 265/65/R18s will still be greater than 15mm increased outer diameter.

From memory the difference was around 25mm from the stock size to the BFGs that were on the Kaka so yes, sounds right. We and the dealer made several inquiries with Vic Roads but they kept harping on about the 15mm limit being the deal breaker when going from the placarded size to another tyre. That was back in Nov 2012 when the revised regulations had just come out and I got conflicting advice as to the legality of the tyre size.

Could be, but we have these at the warehouse now, so I imagine they shouldnt be to far off release...
