qld tyre laws

hi , I read somewhere that you cant legally change in qld to 265/70 if your vehicle has esc , it has to stay with stock tyre configuration
is this true

im in the process of buying a 2014 prado and want to change tyres before delivery
whats the best all terrain bfg , mickey Thompson etc

There are a couple of good AT tyres that come in 265/65R17.
BFG AT
Cooper A/T3
Yokohama G012
Pirelli ATR
Cooper ST Maxx
MT STZ
Bridgestone D697

So if I get a 2 inch lift do I need to stick with 265/65
Or can I go 265/70 want to get this sorted
Before pick up new rig
So BFg is one of the best all rounders

Dirk read the QCOP legislation and talk to your suspension supplier to make sure they will give you something in writing that satisfies the requirements of QCOP. Talk to them to see if they have tested their suspension with larger tyres. In my opinion if the suspension place won't or can't give you confirmation shop elsewhere. Above all talk with your insurer about the mods before you do them.
