16inch rims anyone tried fitting them to the 150series

Hi I'm new to the prados come out of a 105 series lc tried the search thing don't know if I did it wrong or right cause I couldn't. Find anything on the topic, was just wondering if anyone's tried fitting 16's to there prado I would imagine the back wouldn't be much of a drama just not sure on the front any info would be great

They won't fit over the brake calipers...........That's why you don't see people doing it.

Ah ok I just wasn't sure wether it had been tried with different offsets to try clear the callipers I'd heard of it being done with a 120 where all they had to do was grind off some casting lugs on the calliper so the next question is do the 150's run the same front setup as the 120's did

The only case I've ever seen of a Prado 120 with 15"/16" rims was a Norwegian bloke on here once (name escapes me) or the Arctic Trucks and both retrofitted some Hilux brakes on the fronts to allow for the smaller rim size.

Richo there is a good array of 17" tyres now plus most states are allowing 70 profile tyres (check obviously including insurance) so there is no point in going smaller especially if you are grinding calipers. It might only be casting flash but I wouldn't go that way.

Lol it's not the array I'm worried about its the fact you can get the same rim and tyres for around $135 cheaper per corner for the 16 range :-| I'm a tight arse when it comes to tyres it's a massive statement but i think id actually be happier to give the money to the other half lol lol
