Hi,
I recently have bought a 2009 150 series Prado Kakadu,
As you would all know they have 18" wheels stock with 265/60/18 tyres
The tyres i am currently running have around 10,000-20,000 kms remaining therefore thought I should start to look into what to get next,
From searching I have seen there arent a whole lot of choices for tyres for the 18" wheels in ATR's
I can get Toyo, BFG and Pirelli's
My question is should I go down to 17" steel or alloy rims (off a GXL or an aftermarket brand) and fit the equivalent tyre size to match the standard 265/60/18 overall diameter etc
Are there any issues to go down in rim size and also what is maximum width you can go with the stock suspension as well? Or can i even go up in size of tyre for the stock 18" wheels without any issues ie rubbing etc
Interested to hear what other people have done with their Kakadu's to help me decide what I should do next...
Thanks in advance
