  • Bfg a/t

I've got BFG 265/65/17 AT's on my 2013 Prado 150, and, at 60,000km, they are about all washed up, with about 65% of the kms done on off-road (sometimes rough!). Is this normal life for these tyres? Should I replace them with the same or something else???

I know at least 1 person who got 110k kms out of his bfgs. Mostly road miles though.

I've not had a great mileage from two sets BFG ATs (less than 40kms), mainly due to very bad chipping from extended outback tours... I gather that's not unusual. Never had a puncture though, nor side wall damage so I've just bought another set of BFGs ... this time KO2s which I understand are less prone to chipping. We'll see soon enough as we are heading down the Canning Stock Route in 2 weeks' time

Done 80k on my BFG a/t, a lot of WA, central & coast & into the Kimberly.
More like 40% off road Minimal chipping, never a puncture no side wall trouble.
Still got about 5/10k left in them & already sourcing another set. KO2 this time.

65k is pretty good if you did 60% off road. We got 60k last set with a lot of very hard desert and high country and most of the rest towing a 2 tonne boat.
