  • Choices, to many.

I was originally deciding between Duelers 697s A/T and BFGs KO2s, but I booked in for suspension and was shown Mickey Thompsons just to throw another spanner in the works. Any one on Mickeys and what's peoples thoughts?

I looked at them, but couldn't justify nearly $500 a tyre....
Supposed to be pretty good from all reports though.

I ran Mickey T's on my last Prado. They had done about 100,000km when I sold the vehicle, still had a fair amount of tred left. I thought they were very good and better than the Coopers I had before. Most of my driving was on the black top with about 10% dirt and sand.

Got my MT baja stz last Sat for 299 fitted, balanced and aligned (with a few other non-MT related minor complications thrown in). The sizes were 265/60R18

Since its just under a week, have not been able to use them off road, though will be doing some softroading on the Condamine next week.

Havent noticed any difference on the road compared to stock either.
2.8L Kakadu (Chrystal Pearl). Extras - Snorkel, tow-bar, tint & bonnet protection. Wish list - Bash-plate, diff breather extension

I am running MT ATZ P3's on my 2014 Prado. Been on for about 20,000klm so far. Only had them out in the dry and no complaints. Seem to handle wet roads ok as well. A bit noisier on road being a slightly aggressive AT. Will likely get out in the snow early August and possibly some wet terrain then as well. Bit more expensive then most at $400 ea but I was going to put on the BFG KO2's but there were none in stock.

Also note, they will not fit under the spare wheel cover.

            Size: 265/70x17
