Prior to committing to powder coat our silver gxl rims, has anyone done it and regretted it? We have a gray Prado and not sure whether to go black or charcoal? Anyone got any pics?

Hey Jayeb123, before you commit to powder coating try the colours you think with Plastidip, paint on ....peel off if you dont like colour

I plasti dipped mine as was unsure how they would look come up really good but it is only a temporary thing. I love the look but am still undecided whether to upgrade to new wheels or get them painted or powder coated for the long term.

Not a GXL but I've had the FJ Cruiser rims on my Kakadu powder coated in a satin black finish. I've left the center caps silver for now, people seem to like it on the silver Prado.

The powder coating place I used had heaps of different shades you could use, but black suited the colour scheme of my car. I paid $80 +GST per rim so not expensive to do.Comment
