What's the law on fitting larger diameter wheels (not tyres) than standard factory?

Look's i guess, the majority of 120's and the upcoming 150 is registred as "comercial vehichels/delivery vans" in Norway, meening that your 2 backrows of seats go out and a wall goes in, and your licence plates become green. The difference in price is about 77285,72 Australian dollars.

Meening we pay 96607,15 Australian dollars for a "comercial" 150
              and 173892,88 Aud's for a 5/7 seat 150. the 3door is not an option.

So, back to why: in Norway the 150 is in direct competition with the X5, ML, GL, RX, X3 and GLK.

Now, if you take a look at the prices, driving offroad (on a closed track) is really not an option unless you drive a AT conversion.

So, nice large wheels on this car is more or less the same as larger wheels on a X5, ML, GL, RX, X3 and GLK.
