What is the largest possible tyres and wheels for Kakadu ?

Hi every one , I have had a prado kakadu for 3 days and I want a large all terrain for (on/off road) use tyres , but the 2010 prado is complicated it has VSC , KDSS and Crowl control .
my country climate is very hot and some times the temperature reach 60 degrees celsius .

So help me choose the best largest tyres possible with strong wheels !

GET RID OF THE 18" RIMS AND GET HOLD OF A SET OF 17" RIMS AND THEN YOU CAN GET MOST TYRES YOU WOULD LIKE TO FIT. LIMITED CHOICE IN 18". IT'S HARD ENOUGH FOR 17".

GET RID OF THE 18" RIMS AND GET HOLD OF A SET OF 17" RIMS AND THEN YOU CAN GET MOST TYRES YOU WOULD LIKE TO FIT. LIMITED CHOICE IN 18". IT'S HARD ENOUGH FOR 17".

Do the 17s" wheels fit over the brakes on the Kakadu? Just a thought as I was told by my local Tyre Po#er guy that they wouldn't??

I was in the local Toyota dealer on Monday and was asking about optioning 17" wheels on to the Kakadu. They told me it wouldn't be a problem as they run the same brakes and overall tyre diameter as the lower spec models.

Did your dealer mean that 17" will fit or more importantly that they now have a 17" option for the Kakadu?

That they will fit. There isn't really an option for 17's as such, but they are quite happy to fit either 17" GXL rims or 17" aftermarket rims for me pre-delivery.

I don't know how I can display my location , but I am living in saudi arabia / Middle East .

So after I change my wheels to 17" , what is the best largest tyres works good with the rear LOW hydrolic setting depending on the extreme condition in temperature and long trips on road ?

I know its very hard but I think we can share some experience :wink:
