NEED HELP! vx grande Audio replacement

Hi guys,
I have spent million years trying to find out a way of rewiring a new head unit in my 97 prado grande. The biggest problem is that I can not figure out what are all connectors for. So far I got a 10pin and a 6pin connectors(they are both blue), however, there is another big connector with about 12pins or more( cant remember). It seems quite important enough. Can anyone plz tell me what that for? and if that one needs to be rewired, how can I do? Very much appreciate that!!!!

I would assume it is for the CD stacker that is under the front passenger seat.

Hopefully you were right. I would try to run the new one without connecting that connector. If it works that way, I will reply again. Thanks Croozza.

You will only need to connect the 10 & 6 pin connectors.
If you do a search you will be able to find the wiring colour codes as well. Just be aware the earlier models have a different colour code to the later models.

Cool, Thx Lee. I got the diagram and I bought a harness from the auto parts shop. Hopefully, it works. Otherwise, like what u said, I may cut and switch some codes to match the new head unit

I would assume it is for the CD stacker that is under the front passenger seat.

I have an 02 VX (not a Grande though) and the CD stacker is an in-dash unit, nothing under the seat.

Correct, the update in 2000, changed the stereo and moved the stacker into the head unit, however, the original problem was for a 97 model.

I get it done by yesterday. Here is the info I would like to share with others (of course by the help from all guys above):
1) I ignore the single large( white) connector and connect the other two (blue) ones to a Toyota Compatible Harness from the Super Cheap(a Aussie Auto part shop).
2)Get a new audio system( what I got is dvd entertainment system from EBAY). Cos ebay is much cheaper than any audio shop and u would see a lot of info about the one u like to buy without moving your ass off the chair ^^). Make sure it provides the female connector for the male one of the harness which you bought from Super Cheap.
3)Thanks for Lee who recommend that 'Just be aware the earlier models have a different colour code to the later models.' Yet I have no problem with that.( at least for my specific model which is 97 VX Grande).
4)Finally, I got some problem with fitting the new one in the old front dash frame. So I cut the rim a little bit for sitting the new one.However, not everyone should do this.
5)I found that once the front dash rim has been taken off, the indicator wont work(!!!) Cos I am not a elec guy. I drove my prado without it for a short trip I was scared. Finally, I put it back on, it works...I hope someone can tell me why....

Was the hazard switch disconnected, because it is part of the electrical loop.

Is every car use the same loop? Wasn't that vulnerable? I mean not smart at all^^

The blinkers were not working because the hazard switch was not installed just like crozza said.
