  • Do driving lights affect the intercooler/engine performance

I have the standard toyota bullbar (the alloy version), and have a set of Hella Rallye 4000 lights from my old truck id like to put on.

I'm worried that due to the size of the driving lights, and the air intake for the intercooler being the double skin bonnet, that i might affect the performance/cooling of the engine.

Would anyone have any advice on this?

    Thanks.

No it shouldn't affect it. The engine will get enough air from in and around the lights. If you lived in the desert and drove 10 hours at a time in 50 degree weather, it may heat it up a little. But I see you live in Vic. It's 5 degrees at the moment in Melbourne

    You'll be right!

If your worried about it, then you can make up/or get made up, some scoops, they will hang upside-down on the bonnet behind the grill at the intake opening.
