Is there any way to install winch in alloy bull bar on 90 series?

its a factory bar for sure exactly the same as mine but why do you want a winch ? fair wack of money to throw on the car just to help other people with their recovery its not a 120 or 150 series where they would come in handy - the 90 series just dont need them

I think if you go up very steep + rocky mountain or mud area, or even on sand, you will see winch will be helpful for any driver. Anyway, it depends on your demand

So I totally agree with glen_ep, when we came to Colo Heights last year, I almost got stuck in mud (but luckily not).

I'm in the same boat as light5light where I have a Toyota alloy bar and would be keen to install a winch without forking out for a new bar. If I did get a new bar it would probably be an Xrox...

I'm looking forward to see if you manage to get a winch on there using the factory alloy bar - keep us posted.

I also found Xrox, but not very interested with that one much.

I am pretty sure that the winch can not be installed with my current bar, because the mechanism to keep the bar on the car is very ugly, it does not allow anything to put on the chassis (eg: winch plate) except removing this bar.


The spoties on my car are all of 70W HID internal ballasts 9" lights. 4 on the sides are 4300K, 2 in the middle on top are 3000K for special heavy rain or foggy condition.

Anyway, I will list them very soon on Sale whenever I have enough 3 months time limit => reason: I will replace all of them by 100W HID internal ballast 9" soon next week.

Any 4x4 can need a winch if its being put into challenging situations. Especially in mud.

tongue cheek - just seeing if there was any bites from non 90 series owners
