I bought a winch from then two weeks ago and they certainly did not take PP then.

          Hey LightSlite
Did you pay by credit card?
I so you can complain to the CC company about non merchantable quality and they should be able to help with a refund.

Quote from the same add.... "Refunds by law: In Australia, consumers have a legal right to obtain a refund from a business for goods purchased if the goods are faulty, not fit for purpose or don't match description."

at the end of the day it is UP TO THE CONSUMER to follow up (in writing) on warranty and returns/ refunds.

If the bar is as bad as you say, then it would get a refund or replacement i would suspect easily.

I have personally dealt with this dealer on an issue of warranty and was happy with the treatment and how the issue was handled, I did all communications in writing though, Forget the phone. Voice comms get forgotten all too easily.

Send them an email asking for a replacemnt or refund, you will need to repack and organise shipping of the product obviously. Get it in writing who is going to take care of the freight costs first! Give them 7 days in writing to "please respond".

If they dont answer within time frames then contact OCBA. easy.

Obtaining refunds and warranty in Aust isnt all that hard, but some groundwork needs to be done first.
You should do all this ground work before posting in a public forum bad words about them, as most readers know, there is ALWAYS two sides to every story. Just food for thought.

I am in no way affiliated with Tigerz11, just a knowledgable consumer in the area of internet sales. You need to perform the basics before getting upset over the issue.

Yes good advice Piggy, I did the same thing with the camper, numerous letters, emails, etc, unfortunately I was dealing with a total asshole so I didnt get to far till I went to the extreme. He was even ignoring legal documents sent to him. probably thought I was going to give up seen as I was in another state, wrong..... But yes definately need to be done in the correct procedures or solicitors, legal aid or whoever you use on the legal side will require you to go about it the write way first before they will go any further. Well this is what I found anyway when we had issues with our camper..........Some people who run businesses are great and these are the ones who customers will return to and give a good word about. Some others just shouldnt run a bussiness...Cheers Steve

I will comment looking at his eBay feedback he only has one negative.. That says something..
It's a matter of handling the problem correct from day one, and not taking too long..

@ Piggy: You are right if you don't see my item.
Here is the one i got:

                    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/160808342...84.m1439.l2649

I also looked around and found that this seller was good with quite high ranking in a short time. And then, even I found that they only accepted credit card on this item while accept Paypal on anther item (which is VERY UNUSUAL with online business) but they convinced me that this item will fit fully to my car so that I went with them.

NOT ANY PART works like that. All the parts got very wrong engineering at the mounting mechanism and can't be attached together before putting on the car.

@ all bros: The problem still going with this.

They emailed back that they accept to get return and refund, but they ask me must pack item on a pallet (the one that when they sent to me NOT INCLUDED).

-> my question is: will that my responsibility to buy one pallet (or hire one pallet) to send this one back to the seller in case this is totally faulty items in the first second from them.

                      James,
You can get free pallets from just about anywhere. They are usually lying about behind Bunnings or any business that accepts goods in pallets, like the paver or tile shops. I even picked up pallets from around my neighbourhood from people doing renovations or building new houses.

Thanks mate, I will try to get one from Bunning. Unfortunately, my neighbour does not have anything like that.

Otherwise ring ARB and ask if they have a box for one of their bars you can buy/swap beer for/ take for free.

Thats what I did to send mine to the painters, very sturdy bar box.

This is an interesting thread,I brought a bar and winch from them only Eight months ago,And paid by PayPal with no problems. They did send me the incorrect bar but exchanged it imediately.ReCredited me for the transport costs and replied to my emails and phone calls every time.I wander if they have changed hands. My bar fitted exactly to the brackets of ny sauverin ARB bar.But as per others advice,Save a little longer and go with one of the well known bars,Even though I have herd stories from there's that have been a night mare,So no matter who's you but it some times goes wrong,It's human nature.
