  • Installing snorkel on 90 series diesel. TIPS or ADVICE

About to attempt installing a snorkel to my 90 series diesel. Looks simple enough, but just want to know if anyone has done it and can pass on any tips first. Although I lack mechanical skills, I am a tradesman and have tool skills.

    Thanks in advance

Measure twice cut once. If it's not too late I know a guy on the northside of Brisbane that will supply and fit an Airtec snorkel for $400 cash. Hope this helps Cheers

Very sound advice and well noted. Unfortunately due to numerous reasons, money is pretty tight. And I'm actually enjoying doing things myself. So with a bit of research I am attempting my Cape York preparations myself. Thanks for the headsup on the installer, but I am going to do this one myself.

Righto mate, just make sure you put plenty of tape around the area before you take to it with the hole saw..... just incase it jumps around a bit and also make sure you paint any bare metal to prevent rust. All the best Good luck

Well done mate looks great. You should do that for a living. It's a bit of a worry when you start with the hole saw but you just commit and go. Good stuff

Thanks bud. I actually wasn't worried, I did a lot of research first and took my time.

Next will either be draw system or making a winch fit behind my non-winch bar...
