  • Factory bull bar

Anyone know if the factory steel bar is winch compatible? It appears to have a number of pressings that I assume can be punched out to fit a winch.

The Tigerz 11 winch looks pretty interesting and according to their website you can layby - suits my poor pockets. ops:

Instead of layby, save up the money needed.

If I were to buy something on layby (Isnīt that receiving the item immeditly and paying in a number of small payments with interest?), I might be able to pay it up in a two or three years. I could also save my money for a year or 18 months and just buy the desired item by cash in hand.

By putting that money in the bank you will also reveive interest payments rather than paying interest for the little "loan". While you are saving up you might find a good deal on a used Warn, or the Tiger might drop in price.

If my understanding of layby is not accurate then please ignore my post.

      Hi Hawk Thor,

close, what you are describing is 'Hire purchase'.

Lay-by involves giving the store the money in installments with no no interest charged. In return the store holds the item for you at the price when you put it on lay-by.

Rainman i cant speak for the actual bar you are talking about but the Tigerz website also has a cradle which can be used for any bar supposedly, not sure if youve seen it yet.

Even winch bars arent always up to the task of holding a winch. A mate had a bar, on the vehicle when he bought it, had a hole for a winch so he put one in, used it to remove some tree stumps which were half rotten and it pulled the bar outwards! We have now reinforced with steel. Plenty of people will only mount one off the chassis rails though i hear, just stronger, less chance of issues.

        Not sure if thats helps.......
