  • Firewall Penetration for 1996 Prado

    Hi
Can anyone please tell me where (photos if possible) to penetrate the firewall to feed a coax and DC cabling between the engine compartment and the cabin?

    Thanks
    AA

Passenger side behind the glove box is probably easiest. Have a look in the engine bay where the wiring loom comes through and use that grommet too.

When using that grommet dont make the hole to big or water can run along the wire and onto the floor under the carpet

Any hole I make in a grommet, I seal back up with Silicon or Sikaflex, same for drilling holes in metal bodyparts, I always use touch up paint on the edge of the hole so I dont get any rust forming.
