Front recovery point

I seem to be having a bit of trouble getting a decent recovery point for the front.Any ideas or suggstions would be a help. THANKS.

Man, give us more info. What's actually the problem? No space near mount points? Can't find a shop? Wrong bolts?

Mate the three big name shops i called tell me they have nothing to suit my 2000 model.

I think we are still lacking in a lot of info mate, do you have any photos of what you have already? Which three big name shops did you call? I'm sure there is some info in the 90 series pages dealling with front recovery points - have you done a search?

Can you put your location into your profile so as it displays on your posts, better advise on where to go for parts is easier with this information!

Fred, do you have a bar on the front of your 90? There are plenty of aftermarket hooks and points that can be attached to your chassis rails.

I don't believe that ARB or TJM manufacture them direct due to rating issues and legalities but they should sell Outback Ideas points and other branded hooks.

I have a 2000 RV6 and I also had trouble finding front recovery points. As I have the Toyota bar fitted, there is no room to bolt on Prado snatch points. I went and saw ORE and I bought 2 Bushranger Tow Hooks for $20ea, rated at 4500kg (the prado only weighs 1800kg). They bolt right onto both sides of the chassis replacing the factory hook. The bolts that come with the hook have a different thread so I grabbed 4 8.8HT bolts ($12) with same thread as factory bolts. With the use of an equalizer strap I hopefully will have no troubles at all.
