Hi, has anyone used the electronic rust prevention system? I noticed the price of the Couplertech unit is around $500 and they disregard the claims of cheaper ones but i have seen the cheap one on ebay for around $100 and they claim it works. Any thoughts? Keith

i've got one. can't remember the brand and it's raining outside so can't be .... checking haven't seen any rust but then haven't done any beach work..

got it installed by tint-a-car when they did the tinting.. sits up on the firewall (under the wrapped up antenna cable)

Rust prevention.

Got one on my prado, dont know the cost as was on vehicle at purchase.Is a 2000 GLXmodel and I go an beach all the time, I have no rust as yet so the dury is still out .The unit is a E.R.P.S series 2000.All of the accesories fitted to my vehicle are genuine toyota or top of the line stuf so I expect this unit to be aquality item as this is the way of the previous owner.

Thanks for the replies, im fairly certain they work but not so sure the cheaper units do, but for $100 the cheapies might be worth a shot.
