  • 90 series Sun/Moon roof question.

    The vehicles (all land cruisers) i've had with the sun roof option have all opened so that the glass slides under the steel roof part so the glass is protected.
    But i was sent this pic yesterday, and it looks like the glass opens to the out side on the Prado...
    Who has the sunroof option in their 90 series Prado and how does yours open? im considering buying this vehicle but need to know if the sun roof is a factory

    My 2004 120 Grande roof slides under the roof between the roof and it's lining

      Thanks Craig- i see i left out some info, its the sun roof on a 90 series. sorry man, but good to know it like that on the 120.

        Mine slides in under the sheet metal, all factory sunroofs slide this way, unless they are fitted in a vehicle that does not have enough roof length, then they will have it slide upwards.
        97 VX Grande, with front & rear air lockers, ARB Sahara winch bar with tigers 11 winch, 2" EFS lift, 265/75/16 Achilles Desert hawk XMT, and more.

              its confirmed that is aftermarket.
              only opens 3/4 of the way, slides out on top of the roof and has a really crapy grey plastic interior around a beige interior roof lining...
