  • Fatigue Cracks in body

Found these alarming fatigue cracks today in the LHR area of the engine bay.
They are on the box section up high along the guards.
Something to keep an eye out for guys.
I will be fixing this asap.

    Regards, Jason.

    Hi again all.
Have now seen another 5 separate vehicles with confirmed cracks in the same spot on the Prado 90 Facebook page.
    3 Diesels and 2 Petrols.

    Regards, Jason.

      Hi Jason

What do you think is causing this? chassis flex or something heavy bolted in?

Nice share. I don't see many 90's, but keeping an eye out.

How do you fix them? Mig the cracks up and they'll just crack again is my experience with fixing cracks yes thats running along the edges not weaving and getting it in one pass. Mostly on h series holden chassis was what Im basing that observation on. On a few occasions I wasn't even the first bloke to have a go but yeah once its cracked once it'll crack again right next to the weld.
I got myself some Big Horn Maxxis and was telling my landrover lover mate he said what size did you get I told him 265/75/16 he said I didn't know they came that small.
