Hi all,
New to the forum and also new to Prado 90 ownership. I've just purchased a 1999 Prado 90 diesel here in the Dominican Republic. The vehicle itself is very pretty good condition. I just have to undo the last sixteen years of Dominican mechanics handiwork!
On the list of jobs to do is change the locks. I only received one key with the truck and it only fits the ignition barrel. The truck is opened by an aftermarket alarm via the central locking with a remote fob. So for obvious reason I would like to be able to unlock it with a key if the electric system failed.
The problem I have is trying to source parts. My main source of parts for my other vehicles is eBay in the USA. However the Prado 90 was not sold in the US, so eBay could prove be challenging finding parts.
I've read that the Prado shares many parts with the 4Runner, so my question is: would anyone know if I purchased a complete lock barrel set for a 4Runner, would it fit my Prado? Like this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/381362034779...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
