Driving home from work today, and noticed the car pulled to the left badly when I hit the brakes, then the next time i hit the brakes, it pulled up straight..... but.... there was a loud grinding noise from the left front, when I got home, I pulled off the front left wheel, and low and behold, the pad had thown the lining off, now I have a destroyed disc as it has worn 1/2 way through the disc, now I have to buy new discs and pads, looks like no work for me tomorrow...lol

All fixed now, didnt go for the slotted, mainly because they had to get them in, but I ended up with DBA rotors, and QFM (Qld Friction Materials) pads (to try, and report back on how they perform), reason being is the Bendix pads are tapered at the leading and trailing edges to stop squeel, but that means you have less pad area on the rotor, so the pads are working harder, the QFM ones dont, so there is more pad on the rotor, giving better brake performance (in theory), all up with the total cost was $25097 VX Grande, with front & rear air lockers, ARB Sahara winch bar with tigers 11 winch, 2" EFS lift, 265/75/16 Achilles Desert hawk XMT, and more.

It's off with the wheels every couple of months under normal conditions and clean out the area with brake cleaner and water. Wait a minute, I haven't checked mine for a while, I better add it to the list.
Yes, it's easy to overlook, that's why a written schedule is so good. Wait a minute, I haven't got one of those either, hmmm.....
The hippocrite Roo.
I have found that these new pads (QFM) are a very nice pad, they give a very nice feel from the start (before they have bedded in), but now that they have bedded in, they are awesome, the Prado has never stopped so well.97 VX Grande, with front & rear air lockers, ARB Sahara winch bar with tigers 11 winch, 2" EFS lift, 265/75/16 Achilles Desert hawk XMT, and more.

I can still buy these from Yellow Cabs at Woolloongabba. How much did you pay for the pads?
