    I'm going to say no.

Going through the Bendix Australia Website, the 90 series Prado uses
the Bendix DB1323 on the Front, and the DB1200 on the rear.

Do I have to bleed the brakes if I need to change my pads if my car has ABS (to be confirmed)? If bleeding is required, I would appreciate it if you anyone here can provide me with some how-to-do instructions.

      Cheers.

I do not have ABS brakes but I would say yes, it would be a good idea to drain & replace your brake fluid at the same time.

My technique is to use a length of clear plastic hose ( about 500mm long, 5mm internal diameter), an open ended or ring spanner plus an assistant to help pump brake pedal on command from the person bleeding brakes beneath the vehicle. Teenage offspring frequently grizzle when requested to help so friends are often easy to deal with.

The hose is to fit over the brake bleed nipples that are on each brake caliper. The hose directs the old brake fluid from the nipple to a container when the nipple is loosened with the spanner and the assistant pushes the brake pedal.

After selecting correct spanner to fit the nipples and fitting hose on to one caliper, loosener bleed nipple, ask assistant to depress the brake pedal. Dirty brake fluid will come from the nipple through the tubing. Before the assistant releases the brake pedal, tighten the nipple. The brake fluid level will lower in the reservoir. Pump until resevoir is dry.

Then add new brake fluid to reservoir.

Then using same technique of loosening nipple and brake pumping by the assistant, continue pumping/bleeding until new brake fluid comes through the tubing. It will appear as a new fresh colour. Tighten brake nipple properly. Tighten the nipple as new fluid is flowing as this will mean that no air gets back into the brake line. Air in the brake lines will make the brakes feel spongy under pressure.

Add more fluid to the reservoir and go to another caliper and pump/bleed fluid from that brake caliper until fluid is fresh. Top up reservoir again. Continue until all brake calipers are done. Top up brake fluid reservoir to correct level.

        Finished.
