i recently pulled a 1 inch wide cap thing off the side of my transmission that had a large cross on it , behind that was a long spike with a spring around it that went into the side of the transmission ,i now feel very embaressed as now i cant get reverse ,can anyone please let me what i did and what it was that i took out , the vehicle is now parked up as i darent move it.....!

just got my car back from toyota , they had to replace the clutch plates so i'm not sure what i did was actually the problem , anyway it's now running but it cost me 4000 dollars..... :cry:Comment

hey everone,
just recentry bought a 1999, v6 auto prado. Best thing ive done in a fair while
. shes still pritty stock....
But i when to drive her yesterday and she made a bad "clunck" noise. and we ( mates and i put it up on a hoist) and there was no leaks, oil still looks brand new, when i drove it to the end of the driveway, it made the "clunck" noise when it changes gears. Just wondering if anyone mite know whats going on.
