  • 2000 Prado - Loose 6pin plug at back of auto trans

Just discovered this loose connection hanging above the transfer case on my 2000 Prado 1KZ Auto Transmission. Looked like it had been intentionally wedged to stop it flapping about. Anyone know what its for?

    Cheers, Sam

    center diff lock??
mine was loose and i noticed it because it was flashing on the dash. i crawled under and just felt around it is came off. didnt know what it was but solved the issue.

can you see if there is anything for it to plug into or is the locker working correctly?

Hmm, no I couldn't find anything around the area for it to plug into. Though space is tight. I just felt around with my hand. I'm about to do the transfer case seal so maybe when I've got the drive shaft out, I'll get a better look. I have no lights flashing on the dash and pretty sure diff lock was working on my recent sand dune driving experience but I'm new to off roading so maybe it wasn't Thanks for the suggestions
