I have a 1997 Prado 3.4l V6 petrol engine. According to my Gregory's workshop manual (I do not have access to a genuine Toyota worshop manual) the wires on the throttle position sensor appear to be in the wrong positions in the plug that connects to the sensor according to the Gregory's manual.
I keep getting a throttle position sensor diagnossis error from the ECU. I have a new sensor but don't want to install it if the wires were inserted into the plug incorrectly when it was originally made.
Can someone tell me the colour codes for each of the 3 wires starting from the top of the plug when installed to the sensor and working downwards?
Might also explain fuel consumption being a bit on the high side? Any help appreciated.
Cheers
