interior lights

i know this has been done before but i couldnt find anything that answered my questions.
im after a cheap LED upgrade for the interior lights. The main light in the roof, the light in the boot and the map reading light near the sunroof controls.
does anyone have anything that they have used or seen that would fit the bill. light bulbs would be best as i dont want to have to change the fittings.
also while im thinking about it what bulb upgrades can i do to the park lights in the front and the reversing lights to give abit more punch. im getting a work light added over the rear tire but while this is done bulb upgrades are easy.
any help would be great.

Hi Ben. Dick Smith has some festoon type LED bulbs which are a direct replacement for the rear compartment lamps. Be aware that LED lamps are polarity sensitive. For the centre interior lamp I couldn't find a direct replacement festoon and brought a lamp holder kit from Repco which fitted into the housing with a bit of fiddling. BTW mine is a NZ new model not a jap import - I can only assume they are the same. Hope this helps Boss. Cheers.

Hey Craig - thats the same as the one Repco supplied me. Came with a small battery to use as a tester. I think it cost around $28-00 NZ though. All good. Cheers.

I got a few from flebay out of hong kong. direct fit, no problems. Ran them for a few weeks and them changed them back as I got sick of feeling like I was in a morgue when I opened the door at night! the blue tint got to me.
