  • N70 Dual battery options???

howdy, this is my first post on here so a big hello.

2002 5VZ GXL, no ABS or TRC

Just been doing a bit of a search and reading on here about dual battery setups. Currently have a N70 sized 770cca start battery in original location, Also have a N70 deep cycle gel in the rear of the vehicle. I am wanting to know if there are any trays available to mount dual N70 sized batterys under the hood??

    Thanks for any info.

I can't help with info on a 90 series, but can you post some info on your N70 150AH deep cycle battery?

    Cheers,

    Will

Hi Boss. I have a 1KZ-TE 2000 prado and the passenger side area behind the headlamp has the same pressings/locating holes etc as the drivers side. My original N70 is located on the drivers side and I grabbed a tray from the wreckers and it fitted into the other side a piece of cake. From memory there is even a threaded hole to take the clamp and a hole down under to accept the hooked rod on the other side of the battery. I got a good deal on a 1 month old N70 and run the two in parallel. Up side of 2 batteries is the redarc VSR closes in immediately the engine has started and livens up the anderson plug to the caravan. Cheers.
