Mobile Phone Car Kit

Hi All, I'm new to the forum, I've just a bought a 1997 Prado VX to tow my 2500kg Boat.

Does anyone know if you can install a mobile phone car kt that interacts with the stereo. I've got Nokia bluetooth car kit and there are 2 wires that can connect to a compatible stereo to mute and also to listen to your caller through the car speakers.

As I write this question I'm thinking not as it's a 14 year old car...

Worth a shot.

Their should be a mute connection on the back of stereo but I would think that would be it.

Would you not be better off buying a new Stereo that has Bluetooth installed?
Less hassle than trying to fit a carkit.
